Sustainable Comprehensive Development

Aims to build an aware, healthy, and skilled citizen who actively participates in building their local community, managing and preserving its essential facilities, and creating

a healthy society that combats illiteracy and poverty, values work, and respects human dignity. The Foundation supports and cares for 15,000 vulnerable families annually across Beni Suef Governorate and provides care for their children.

The sector provides financial services through microfinance loans for productive, service, and commercial projects, with 18 years of experience in providing microfinance services.

Meeting the Needs of the Most Vulnerable Families

Providing vulnerable families with essential services and support, including food supplies, fresh locally sourced meat, sanitation, healthcare, child protection, support for people with disabilities, microfinance, handicraft training, employment preparation, and support for children from vulnerable families attending nurseries.

In cooperation with the Egyptian Food Bank, the Foundation provides vulnerable families with the following support:

First: Food Supplies

  1. Monthly and seasonal distribution of dry food supplies.
  2. Distribution of sacrificial meat.
  3. Distribution of Zakat Al-Fitr.

Second: Small-Scale Poultry Breeding Empowerment Project

The project successfully supported vulnerable women in raising 94,814 chickens and provided them with the following services:

  1. Providing high-quality breeds for breeding.
  2. Providing veterinary care.
  3. Purchasing their production at prices higher than market rates to support the beneficiaries.

Economic Empowerment Activities

Institutional and Human Resources Capacity Building Project implemented at the Ministry of Social Solidarity in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the European Union and Beni Suef Renaissance Foundation.

 

The project provides beneficiaries of the Takaful and Karama social protection program in the villages of Nasser and Beni Suef districts with opportunities to apply for training and establish micro-enterprises, with financing of up to EGP 50,000 and an administrative fee of only 5%.

The project aims to:

  1. Address social and economic challenges.
  2. Create new employment opportunities.
  3. Improve the social and economic conditions of vulnerable groups.

Medical Department Activities

3-Renovating and upgrading the Major Surgery Department at Beni Suef University Hospital.
4-Renovating and upgrading the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Department within the Reception and Emergency Department at Beni Suef University Hospital.
5-Contributing to the development of the Hemodialysis Unit at Beni Suef University Hospital by providing 20 dialysis chairs and dialysis machines, in cooperation with Sehatna Foundation.
6-Improving administrative systems in advanced hospitals.

7-Conducting vision screenings for primary and preparatory school students in Beni Suef to identify visual impairments and eye diseases and providing appropriate treatment interventions—including treatment, eyeglasses, and surgeries—for more than 20,000 students, in cooperation with Basira Foundation.

8-Supporting public hospitals and isolation hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic with medical supplies, sterilization equipment, and medical devices.

9-Organizing medical caravans in coordination with the Governorate, the Directorate of Health, and Beni Suef University Hospital, providing free medical examinations and treatment every Tuesday.

10-Providing prosthetic limbs and hearing aids.

11-Providing free monthly medication and care for patients with chronic diseases from vulnerable families.

12-Performing cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries in cooperation with Al-Azhar Educational Hospital.

13-Supporting and equipping the Training Center at the Directorate of Health with computers and office furniture.

14-Improving family well-being and protecting public health by replacing and renovating drinking water networks in villages in cooperation with the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company.

15-Organizing medical caravans under the patronage of the Governor of Beni Suef and in cooperation with Nahda University’s Faculty of Medicine and the Directorate of Health Affairs, providing free medical examinations and treatment on a weekly basis.

16-Establishing a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Healing Bank to provide free surgeries, examinations, and treatment, as well as hearing aids and wheelchairs for people with disabilities, and to provide all services offered by the Egyptian Healing Bank to residents of Beni Suef Governorate.

Education Sector Activities

2-Providing scholarships for high-achieving students from vulnerable families who have completed secondary education to study at Egyptian universities, including:
Payment of university tuition fees for the first and second semesters.
Provision of university textbooks for both semesters.
University housing expenses.
Monthly allowance.
Provision of required university supplies.
Provision of a data SIM card.

3-Providing free school uniforms for children from vulnerable families.
4-Paying school tuition fees for children from vulnerable families.

5-Implementing the “Learning Village” project in partnership with Save the Children through community education schools. The project supports the education of children of primary-school age in targeted villages by providing high-quality community-based education, as well as literacy programs for women — particularly mothers of community-school students — by providing them with essential reading and writing skills to ensure the continuity of learning and self-development.

6-Supporting community education students and covering health insurance subscription fees for all community education students across the governorate.

7-Supporting children from vulnerable families enrolled in nurseries in cooperation with the Egyptian Food Bank.
8-Supporting women who have overcome illiteracy by providing:

-Development projects.
-Assistance in continuing their education.
-Support for their children to continue their education and receive proper care.

9-Organizing three Holy Quran competitions for community education students, Al-Noor School students, and children from vulnerable families across the governorate.

Engineering Department Activities

  • Constructing safe and healthy homes in the poorest villages.
  • Replacing and renovating drinking water networks in several villages, covering approximately 55 kilometers across parts of Beni Suef Governorate.
  • Establishing and operating the first unconventional wastewater treatment plant using MBR technology at the village level in the Republic, in Al-Basateen Village, Ezbet Sayed Abdel Kader, and Saft Al-Gharb Village in Beni Suef.
  • Establishing wastewater lifting stations and force mains.
  • Replacing and renovating wastewater and drinking water lines at Al-Qadi Mosque.
  • Maintaining and renovating community education schools in Beni Suef as part of the Learning Village project in cooperation with Save the Children.

Completion of Wastewater Networks

Due to urban expansion in villages following the implementation of wastewater systems, additional services were required for newly developed areas within these villages.

  1. Beni Suef District: Ehnesia Al-Khadra Village, Tazmant Al-Sharqia Village, and Abu Selim Village.
  2. Beba District: Tansa Bani Malik Village.
  3. Ehnesia District: Qai Village.
  4. Household Wastewater Connections Beni Suef District: Al-Basateen Hamlet and Belfia Village.
  5. Beba District: Bani Qassem Village.
  6. Ehnesia District: Al-Deir and Brawa Village and Miana Village.
  7. Al-Wasta District: Al-Maimoun Village and Saft Al-Gharb Village.
  8. Nasser District: Dalas Village and Ezbet Sayed Abdel Kader.
  9. Al-Fashn District: Saft Al-Orfa Village and Al-Fant Al-Gharbia Village.
  1. Beni Suef District: Belfia Village, Tazmant Al-Sharqia Village, Riyad Basha Village, Ezbet Ali Bahloul, and Ehnesia Al-Khadra Village.
  2. Beba District: Tansa Bani Malik Village.
  3. Al-Wasta District: Qamand Al-Arous Village and Kafr Abu Gigi.
  4. Nasser District: Ashmant Village.

Approximately 500 drinking water connections have been installed for homes of vulnerable families.

A Project in Cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation

Sustainable Development and Climate Action Project — “Sustainable Empowerment”, funded by the European Union.
Strengthen the role of civil society organizations in sustainable development and climate action within targeted communities.
  • Establish and activate a network of local civil society organizations interested in sustainable development and climate action.
  • Develop an effective coordination mechanism between the organization and local government entities regarding the implementation of sustainable development and climate action goals.
  • Increase citizen participation in initiatives aimed at implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Establishing and activating a network of local civil society organizations interested in sustainable development and climate action.

  • Increasing citizen participation in initiatives supporting the implementation of sustainable development and climate action goals in Beni Suef Governorate.
