The Regional Observatory is one of the activities of the “Sustainable Empowerment” Project: Strengthening the Roles of NGOs in Sustainable Development and Climate Action, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Beni Suef Renaissance Foundation in Beni Suef Governorate in partnership with the Misr El Kheir Foundation.
The Observatory contributes to strengthening governance and sustainable development, enhancing the participation of civil society organizations in decision-making and policymaking, supporting assessment and monitoring processes, and preparing periodic reports on the state of sustainable development at the local, regional, and national levels.
• The Observatory also aims to monitor the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate action at the local level.
• It seeks to strengthen the role of civil society organizations as key drivers of development by generating knowledge, documenting successful practices, and facilitating community dialogue.
